Overview:
This course covers all 3 sets of statutory duties: race, disability, and gender, as well as the employment equality regulations on sexual orientation, religion or belief and age. It has particular emphathis on recognising and dealing with harassment and bullying.. It helps all employees to understand how to work successfully with people who come from different backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles.
The course is delivered in nine modules covering race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief and age.
By the end of this course, participants should understand the following:
- What discrimination is.
- How the law protects people against discrimination.
- What kind of behaviour is unacceptable and unlawful in the workplace.
- How to make sure behaviour in the workplace is respectful to everyone and supports the employer to deliver services of the highest quality.
